Scientifically Accurate Star
Laci Brock
Highly limited art print

When someone tells you they think space is fake, you can’t help but laugh at them, right? Same. But the rejection of mainstream science and medicine is on the rise.

“Scientifically Accurate Star” draws attention to this alarming movement by juxtaposing real data from the Spitzer Space Telescope with a fake star. Using my unique position as an astrophysicist and artist, my hope is that this creation—fueled by anger and disappointment—can encourage a more positive connection with science in the future.

FAQs
How long will my print take to arrive?

The majority of orders will be dispatched within a few days; however, please allow up to 2 weeks for your order to be dispatched. Stay tuned to your email for tracking information.

How will my print be packaged?

Your items will be shipped in a flat envelope or rolled in a tube, whatever is most appropriate and safest based on the size and destination.

Generally, anything larger than 12x16 inches (30x40 cm) in the US will be sent in a tube. For international orders, items up to 16.5 inches (42 cm) on the long edge (A3 size) are sent flat, while anything larger is shipped in a tube.

Are these prints archival?

Yes! My original was photographed in a professional studio at high resolution. Each print was then made from a specialized inkjet printer with a wide color gamut of inks on archival paper. These prints are high-quality reproductions of my original that are designed to last.

What is the policy on returns?

My work is made to order, so we cannot accept returns. However if your print is damaged in transit, or in the very unlikely event that it arrives with a defect, we will replace it.

What if my print gets damaged in transit?

If a print gets damaged in transit we will replace it. We will ask for some images or video of the damage so we can supply this to the shipping service to cover the insurance.

How long will this print be available for?

Until midnight on 21st May 2025 or until the entire edition is sold out, whichever happens first.
